On holiday in California, went to Williams Soaring to try out the new ASK21B. Nothing too exciting to see, aerotow and flying over the Mendocino Range. The cool stuff all happened after the GoPro gave up!!! Soaring over the airfield, some aero's and a beat up landing. Gliding

Rittenhouse Field, located in Queen Creek, Az, was built during WW2 as one of 5 satellite airfields for Williams Air Force Base, which conducted training in twin & four engine bombers & single engine fighters. Built in a triangular design, Rittenhouse Field was named for land developer Charles Rittenhouse and has been abandoned since the late 1960's.

This is the first video of this new series, and a test run in a sense that I did with my tattoo artist accomplice Mark. I've always loved exploring abandoned airports, but filming an expedition to a long flat piece of concrete, while making it interesting to the viewer, is a different challenge. This was a fun experiment.

My name is Chip and I am a commercial pilot and a tattoo artist in Arizona. I created this channel so that I could explore random airports and have some fun with my friends while I go through the adventure of getting my certified flight instructor rating over the next many months. The future holds many flights to remote locations and airfields, random adventures, laughs, and many surprises along the way. Come along for the ride.

If you have enjoyed this pilot episode of Exploring Airports, please like, share, and subscribe. Quality content takes time, and we very much want to continue this adventure, so we can use all your support. Every click helps.

(The drone malfunctioned the day we shot this, so the aerial footage used in this episode was filmed in 2019 from a previous trip.)
