Description
The full name is "Scotty's Intermediate Airfield". It is an
abandoned airfield, possibly of WW II vintage. At the SE corner of the runway
intersection lie ruins of an operations building, garage, antenna mast
foundation, windmill, and water tank. An abandoned mine is located 3.5 mi NE.
At night, this is one of the darkest areas in the lower 48, good for
stargazing. Scotty's castle is within biking distance.
