Tempe to Sky Harbor Airport Arizona- Scenic Real Time Drive
Real-time drive through Tempe Arizona to the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. We start out just south near the Tempe Town Lake area Tempe Arizona on AZ Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway. This is is one of the fastest-growing tech centers in Arizona and it's one of the most beautiful views in the Phoenix Metro. We take a tour of the Sky Harbor Airport, taking in the mothballed planes from Southwest Airlines and others while we drive past terminal 4, 3, and 2.
This airport is rated the friendliest in America and although it can be confusing to navigate, it is a great airport to have close by as nonstops are available to Hawaii, Florida, the east coast, and international.

More On Sky harbor
The terminal is officially named John S. McCain III Terminal 3 with 22 active gates (F1-F9, F13-F15, E1-10) and is currently used by Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, Boutique Air, Contour Airlines, Delta, Frontier, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue, Spirit, Sun Country, and United. Delta operates a Sky Club in the terminal.
The Terminal 3 Modernization project involved three components, which improved the capacity and convenience features of the terminal. This project updated the terminal after its previous renovation in 1997. Component One opened in December 2016 and redeveloped the central terminal building, creating a consolidated security checkpoint, new airline ticket counters, an updated Museum Gallery, HVAC enhancements, and increased baggage handling capacity. Component Two involved the complete demolition and reconstruction of the southern concourse, which was opened in January 2019. The new linear concourse includes new shops and retail, as well as a new Delta Air Lines Sky Club. Component Three renovated the North Concourse amenities, with a new United Club included. The third phase was completed in early February 2020, with the remaining Terminal 2 airlines moved to Terminal 3 and the closure of Terminal 2.
The terminal, officially named Barry M. Goldwater Terminal 4, is the airport's largest and busiest terminal, and it functions as the hub for two airlines: American and Southwest. It holds 84 gates (A1-30, B1-28, C1-19, and D1-8) within seven concourses. The airlines using Terminal 4 are American, British Airways, Southwest, Volaris, and WestJet. Terminal 4 is the exclusive international customs arrival terminal. Reflecting its longtime presence at Sky Harbor, American operates three Admirals Club locations in the terminal. Terminal 4 also houses the Sky Harbor USO Club, available for active, reserve, and retired military personnel and their spouses and dependents.
