MERCEY HOT SPRINGS, CA

This is a private air strip maintained by Mercey Hot Springs.  The airport is OFFICIALLY closed... however, UNofficially it is open to pilots.  The manager says that due to county regulations the runway is X'd off and not listed on the charts.  The manager further says that if a pilot hears a strange noise or wants to land somewhere to check anything else out on his airplane, that pilot is welcome to land at Mercey Hot Springs and make sure the aircraft is okay.  While you're there if you'd like to have a soak or camp overnight to calm your  nerves, you are more than welcome to do so.
