My wife and I fly into Sikeston, runway 2 for the first time.

The Aero Experience was in the air Sunday flying to Sikeston, MO to meet other local aviators for lunch at Lambert's Café, Home of Throwed Rolls. Lunch fly-ins, such as this one organized through the "I Fly St. Louis" Facebook group, are great ways to build comradery among the aviation community and a good excuse to visit community airports around the Midwest. We were fortunate to fly there with the Tarlow family in their beautiful and speedy Piper Comanche, Grace. Our trip began midmorning at St. Louis Downtown Airport as we gathered under a clear blue sky and felt the crisp, cold breeze that remained from the storm front that passed through the area the previous day. After a fuel stop at Perryville, MO Municipal Airport to top off the tanks, we flew the short hop to Sikeston, MO Memorial Municipal Airport.
