Mountain turbulence - Short soft field in the mountains - Cascade Excursions - Part 2

Taking off from our temporary home base of Cle Elum to Wenatchee for some oil and refueling and then heading up further north into the mountains for a hike into the Pasayten Wilderness. After experiencing some moderate turbulence en route we land at Lost River, W12, a bush grass strip. Coming back from the hike, we take off late afternoon with density altitude rising.

Huge Buck Mule Deer in my neighbor's yard

11/6/10. The deer had at least 6 points on the one antler...making him at least a 12 point buck. He was big and seemed to be healthy. He must have lost the other antler in a rut with another buck, or perhaps he was hit by a car. But he didn't seem injured, so it was probably in a rut with another deer, since it is mating season.
